In an age of AI and increasingly synthetic interactions, Mohsinoon gives young people a reason to listen, learn, and build genuine relationships with refugee families.

A child should not miss opportunity because nobody explained how the system works. Compassion becomes practical when young people help families see, understand, and act on educational, professional, and community opportunities at critical moments.

The big idea

The knowledge gap is often bigger than the income gap.

Mohsinoon cannot eliminate the income gap. Mohsinoon can reduce the knowledge gap that often stands between talent and opportunity.

Talent is not the problem.

Refugee children may bring intelligence, resilience, ambition, and work ethic. Their families may still be encountering American education, employment, finance, and community systems for the first time.

Knowledge shared at the right moment can change a decision. A better decision can change a life trajectory.

A concentrated community where trust can grow over time.

For decades, Clarkston has been one of Georgia's primary communities for welcoming refugee families. More than 60,000 refugees have relocated to Clarkston since 1980, and local sources describe residents representing more than 50 countries.

Many refugee families live close to one another in the same apartment communities and neighborhoods, making consistent relationships practical.

For ages 12+: Younger participants can begin with friendship, reading, recreation, bridge experiences, and intentional giving. As they grow, they can take on deeper research and guidance with experienced adults.

The true measure of help is whether it changed a life trajectory.

Events, donations, supplies, and volunteer hours are inputs. The outcome is whether a family moves toward confidence, capability, belonging, stability, and independence.
